How to Make Chicken Lo Mein
Lo Mein means tossed noodles and fresh egg noodles. In a Chinese family, they often used Chicken Lo Mein as the opening dish before going to the main course. It also the dish for someone in a hurry. Chicken Lo Mein can be brought anywhere even with just a small box. Try to cook easy and savory Chicken Lo Mein at your home. There you are.

Ingredients:

For chicken:
·         1 lb chicken breast or chicken thigh, skinless and boneless, cut into small pieces
·         Two tablespoons of olive oil
·         Two tablespoons of soy sauce
·         One segment of ginger
·         Three cloves of garlic
For sauce:
·         One tablespoon of sesame oil
·         One tablespoon of hoisin sauce
·         One tablespoon of oyster sauce
·         Two tablespoons of dark soy sauce
·         Two tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce
·         One tablespoon pepper
·         One tablespoon brown sugar
For veggies and complementary:
·         16 oz of ramen
·         Three chopped green onions
·         1 cup shredded Chinese cabbage
·         1 cup of sliced thinly carrots
·         2 cups of shiitake mushrooms
·         One chopped onion
·         2 eggs

Directions:

1.      1Cook the noodles for 3-5 minutes. Drain and set them aside if it’s done. Put the sauce ingredients in one bowl, and then whisk them together. Ensure that the sauce is perfectly mixed each other. Then, mince the ginger and garlic for the chicken.
2.      2In a bowl, put the chicken and toss it with soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Keep for about 5 minutes in making the ingredients absorbed by the chicken. Then, heat the olive oil in large pan. Wait until it is hot, then cook the chicken for 5 minutes or until brown. If it’s done, put the chicken on a plate.
3.      3Add another two tablespoons of olive oil to the pan for sauteing shiitake mushrooms, carrots, onion, and cabbage. Cook for a minute. Add the eggs and scramble them. After that, put the chicken back and add noodles, prepared sauce and toss everything.
4.      For eating Chicken Lo Mein, wait for about 3 minutes. Garnish Chicken Lo Mein with chopped green onions and your Chicken Lo Mein is ready to be consumed. If you want to reheat the dish, you can just add ½ tablespoon of oil to the pan and put Chicken Lo Mein for a reheat.
